Ekberg

This is the oldest café in Helsinki, founded in 1852. They offer a great breakfast buffet that includes an egg pudding, rather like an omelet; a good selection of cheese and ham; smoked salmon and marinated herrings – all of it delicious, I tried everything! Seasonal cakes and sweets are also on offer. The cinnamon rolls sold at the bakery and delicatessen next door are generously flavored with cardamom.
