<p>The birthplace and home museum of Aleksis Kivi (Stenvall), Finnish national writer, is located at Palojoki village in Nurmijärvi, the setting for The Seven Brothers and The Cobblers on the Heath. This house in which he spent his childhood was to remain dear to him all his life.

<p>The museum is furnished as a historic 19th century home and some of the objects currently displayed in the museum are originally from the Stenvall house.</p>
