It was a perfect trip for me! The apartment where I stayed was close to the Helsinki Central Station. It was in a very good place to move anywhere, quiet and super comfortable. It was nice to relax on the terrace and good to cook at home. I felt the atmosphere of Northern Europe everywhere like in the furniture, dishes, and bedding and so on. It was so minimal and clean!
Korean Jiwon Yun visited Helsinki in summer, and dosumented her stay on her popular Instagram account jkeely_.
Here follows a short summary of those posts with 5 tips out of her recommendations in Helsinki:
1. Allas Sea Pool: It was perfect enough to say 'That's why I came to Helsinki !' Of course, it was lovely weather to enjoy the refreshing swimming pool & sauna, but the landscape was so amazing. It's the best place for spending time.
2. Kaffa Roastery: I really really really like coffee. This is one of my favourite places in Helsinki. The inside of the cafe was cozy and "normal", but the taste of coffee was the best!
3. Local food culture: Every dish I ordered in Helsinki was delicious. The terraces were beautiful, and staff was so kind. A great place for casual dining.
4. Public sauna Löyly: The sauna is very small but I could really enjoy swimming in the sea. It's a little embarrassing to be alone, but it's a place where you can get along with strangers. So funny! Löyly is a beautiful place when the sun sets... The rooftop is a great photo spot, so go up there!!
5. Kiasma Museum: I go to exhibitions whenever I travel, the Kiasma Museum was very interesting. Different themes and concepts were formed on each floor and it was so fun to see. It's not a formal atmosphere, and you can see it freely. If you like art exhibitions, you should go there.
