Kilven Kuoro, Chamber Choir SonorEnsemble and Helsinki Police Symphonic Band will perform Stabat Mater composed by Karl Jenkins in Temppeliaukio Church. <p>Kilven Kuoro, Chamber Choir SonorEnsemble and Helsinki Police Symphonic Band will perform Stabat Mater composed by Karl Jenkins in Temppeliaukio Church.</p><p>Stabat Mater is a Catholic hymn from the 13th century, that portrays the suffering of Mary during the crucifixion of Jesus. This work by Karl Jenkins that is being performed now was composed in 2007. The work is sung in English, Latin, Arabic, Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic.</p><p>The soloist parts of the work are sung by soprano Pia Freund and composer, singer Säde Bartling.</p><p>The concert will be conducted by DMus Sami Ruusuvuori, the choirs will be coached by DMus Hanna Remes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Temppeliaukio Church</p><p>21.3.2024</p><p>Doors at 18.00, concert 19.00-20.00</p><p>The concert is preceded by a 30-minute presentation about the evening's work and performers at 18.15.</p><p>Tickets 30€ from Lippupiste and at the entrance</p><p>The concert is part of the Choral Music Seasonal Concerts concert series.
