Laulun lahja – Mother’s Day Concert

The “Laulun lahja” (“Gift of Song”) concert is a musical gift for mothers and those celebrat… <p>The <em>“Laulun lahja”</em> (<em>“Gift of Song”</em>) concert is a musical gift for mothers and those celebrating Mother’s Day. Children will sing songs from Finland and abroad in honour of Mother’s Day and spring.  In addition to children’s and folk songs, the concert programme includes musical compositions and classical music. Songs will cover themes such as flowers, animals, and of course, mothers.</p><p>Performers aged 1 to 22 study singing using the Suzuki method. <strong>Marjaana</strong> <strong>Merikanto</strong> plays the piano. Directed by: <strong>Analía</strong> <strong>Capponi-Savolainen</strong>, <strong>Mervi Sipola-Maliniemi</strong>, <strong>Outi Pekkarinen</strong> and <strong>Janina</strong> <strong>Mäyry</strong>.</p><p>The concert is suitable for all ages, and admission is free.
