The beautiful and previously innocent Lieschen gets to taste coffee and becomes enchanted by the new refreshing beverage. Lieschen’s father Schlendrian is afraid that his daughter will remain an old maid because of this and that he will have to provide for her. Despite her father’s threats, the daughter refuses to give up coffee, and eventually, the father himself sets out to find a suitable husband. The daughter swears that she will only marry if she can drink unlimited amounts of coffee. Where to find a suitor happy with the bride-to-be’s incessant coffee drinking?</p><p>The Coffee Cantata has been translated and directed by <strong>Reetta</strong> <strong>Ristimäki</strong>, and the roles are sung by performers <strong>Johanna</strong> <strong>Engelbarth</strong>, <strong>Jasper</strong> <strong>Leppänen</strong>, and <strong>Jyri</strong> <strong>Lahtinen</strong>. The performance is accompanied by the baroque ensemble <strong>Ensemble</strong> <strong>Nylandia</strong>.</p><p>Price is included in the entrance fee, no separate fee.</p>
