The West African music star and five-time Grammy winner will celebrate her 40-year career at Huvila on Thursday 29 August.</p><p>Loved around the world, Kidjo has established herself as one of the most unique and extraordinary voices of our time, inspiring countless artists and audiences over the decades. In Kidjo’s hands, West African traditional music and pop meet the sounds of afrobeat, dancehall, hip-hop and r&amp;b in a hypnotic and visionary way.&nbsp;</p><p>Since 2021’s <i>Mother Nature</i> album, Kidjo has toured extensively and collaborated with French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf on the acclaimed album <i>Queen of Sheba</i>, a fusion of African and Middle Eastern cultures. At Huvila, Kidjo performs music from throughout her career – but the charismatic performer at her best always has her eyes on the future.
