Top 3 attractions
- The Art Factory is where an old factory building meets modern arts and culture. A huge, buzzing complex with an art gallery, exhibitions, events, concerts, workshops, artists’ show & work spaces, cafés, restaurants, a movie theatre and a dance school – all year round.
- The iconic riverside warehouses now house restaurants, pop-up galleries, B&B accommodation and more. The warehouses were painted red in the late 18th century, when King Gustav III of Sweden visited Porvoo.
- Pellinge Islands off the coast of Porvoo were a special place to Tove Jansson, creator of the Moomins. Pellinge offers magical scenery, summer music events, markets and quaint accommodation (small islands in the middle of the sea, for one).
