At the core of the restaurant, you can find the majestic and beautiful north at its best. The menu pays homage to the northern roots by including the purest ingredients such as game, reindeer, mushrooms, lichen and birch leaves from the north. The carefully designed interior of the restaurant and the menu exude a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere of the north. The tableware has been designed by Anu Pentik to reflect the soulful character of Kultá Kitchen.

Restaurant Carelia is located right across the street from The National Operahouse. Carelia is a unique brasserie in an old pharmacy milieu serving classic French cuisine dishes with innovative touch and best ingredients. Šašlik
Arguably the most iconic Russian restaurant in Helsinki, Šašlik has been serving authentic Russian cuisine since 1972. The atmosphere in the restaurant is characterised by its intimate cabinets that exude an old world feel. Stepping into the restaurant instantly gives you the feeling that you have stepped into an era bygone, imagine Cold War spies sitting in the shadows over long wet lunches that stretch into long wet dinners. This trickery of the mind is provided by the interior décor which is dominated by crystal chandeliers, dark wallpapers and ornamentally framed paintings that, together with the colourful glass mosaics in the windows, provide a luxurious yet cosy atmosphere. The menu at Šašlik features all the classics of the Russian cuisine, from borscht soup to pelmeni. You can have your champagne bottle opened with a sabre using the “Sabrage” technique, vodka is served in true Russian style by the gram, and troubadours dressed in traditional Russian costumers play balalaikas, thereby blurring the distinction between a truly luxury restaurant experience and all possible movie clichés of what a Russian restaurant should be like.
