Vasikkasaari island, located on the west side of Santahamina in Helsinki, is a recreational island of about 18 hectares. The island is available for the city residents' recreational use. There are also summer residents and their small cabins on the island.

At Suomenlinna sea fortress there are nine venues of different sizes and types available. The venues in the 18th century fortress and a Unesco World Heritage site are suitable for hosting variety of events such as seminars, conferences and banquets. The venues were originally part of the military fortification during the periods of Swedish and Russian rule, and were used as a gunpowder magazine, a granary, a church and a barracks. All the venues are within walking distance from the main quay.
Tokuyûan, the first traditional Japanese tea room in Finland, is located in the Virtue Bastion on Susisaari island at Suomenlinna fortress island. The Japanese tea art chadô is studied here and practised in tea ceremonies.

Cafe Silo in Suomenlinna is located near the ferry pier. The café offers delicacies baked on site, special coffees and soup of the day. The small terrace in front of the café is the perfect place for admiring life at the fortress.
