Malmitalo's versatile programme attracts people not only from Malmi, but from all districts of Helsinki to enjoy concerts, films, art and children's culture. The Hotel Rantapuisto main building was completed in the 1960's as a bank's training center in the middle of east Helsinki nature.

The comfortable and spacious 120-seat restaurant Furu is located on the first floor of the hotel. The space is decorated with a merry fireplace and big windows open to a gorgeous view over the Baltic Sea. Restaurant Furu's à la carte menu offers Finnish food originating from small producer's farms and from neighboring areas without leaving international classics behind.
Rantapuisto houses also 10 meeting rooms of various sizes and an auditorium.
