Skiffer Liuskaluoto

Ferry connection from HSS quay at Merisatamanranta, halfway between Café Carusel and Kompassitori square, or the Kompassilaituri quay at the Kompassitori square.

Restaurant Walhalla

Restaurant Walhalla is a gourmet restaurant located on the historic grounds on the fortified southern edge of the Kustaanmiekka isle at Suomenlinna. The restaurant offers, besides the beautiful surroundings of its main dining hall caponiere Delwig, also a bar, a stunning sea view terrace and the Pizzeria Nikolai.

The restaurant is normally open from First of May until the crayfish season in autumn, and for orders all year.

Restaurant Walhalla is located in the the fortifications of Kustaanmiekka at the southern tip of Suomenlinna, close to the Kuninkaanportti (King's Gate).
The ferry company JT-Line operates in summer from the Market Square directly to the King's Gate. The public transport ferry (HSL) from the Market Square arrives at the main quay in Suomenlinna, from which there is an approx. 1,5km walk to the restaurant.

Restaurant Uunisaari

An attractive, fully-licensed restaurant, a café with a sun terrace and two saunas on Uunisaari island just in front of Kaivopuisto Park. The main building was renovated in 1999 under the supervision of the National Board of Antiquities. Red brick walls creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

There are two saunas which can be booked for private use.

A connection boat to Uunisaari departs in summer from the Kompassitori (Compass) at Merisatamanranta. In winter there's a pedestrian bridge from mid-November to April.

Restaurant Särkänlinna

Restaurant Särkänlinna on the historic fortress island of Särkkä is one of Helsinki's most beloved summer restaurants. The menu draws on the finest ingredients, life in the Finnish archipelago and seasonal Finnish food. For crayfish lovers, Särkänlinna has always been the restaurant of choice.

A connection boat to the island departs from the Ullanlinna pier in the Kaivopuisto park.

Seurasaaren Kruunu

Enjoy a swish of history, charming atmosphere and lovely flavors at the idyllic restaurant Seurasaaren Kruunu at Seurasaari island! The restaurant offers café products, lunch and delicious meals from the a la carte menu in summer season.

A part of the restaurant, built in the 1890s, is also perfect for private occasions.

Restaurant Saaristo

Saaristo's white Art Nouveau style villa, built in 1899, is one of Helsinki's most imposing and traditional restaurants. It is located on a small island "Luoto - Klippan" near Kaivopuisto only 2 minutes boat ride away.

Restaurant Saaristo's menu offers delicacies of the Scandinavian cuisine. During crayfish season, starting at the end of July, Saaristo is also one of the most popular venues in town for Finnish crayfish parties.

Restaurant's historical milieu as well as central and beautiful location by the sea offer unique surroundings from romantic dinners to private parties of up to 500 persons.

Restaurant Saari

Restaurant Saari is located on the Sirpalesaari island just a short distance from the city centre. The restaurant provides Finnish and archipelago specialities as well as magnificent views of the sea.

A connection boat is available from Merisatama pier. The crossing (about 200 m) takes just a few minutes. It is also possible for quests to arrive with their own boats.

Restaurant Pyysaari

Restaurant Pyysaari is a legendary island restaurant that opened during the Olympic games in Helsinki in 1952 in order to take care of the international participants of the sailing competitions. The restaurant has been open every summer since then.

It is possible to reach the island both by ferry or bus. There is a guest pier for private boats on the north side of the island. It is also possible to walk to the island via the Tullisaari park.

Restaurant Pihlajasaari

Restaurant Pihlajasaari is located on Pihlajasaari island, a popular recreational area, only 10 minutes by boat from Kaivopuisto shore. The fully-licenced café-restaurant of the island has served customers since 1929 in an old wooden villa, Villa Hällebo, from 1883.
There is an excellent view of the open sea from the front terrace situated on natural rock, whereas from the smaller terrace there is a nice view of Helsinki.

The connection ferry to Pihlajasaari leaves from Merisatamanranta behind Cafe Carusel and from Ruoholahti. On the island there is a guest harbour for those who come with their own boat.
