The main character of the work longs for nature, but is constantly surrounded by artificiality.

The starting point of the installation is the central idea of existential nihilism, according to which "every individual is an isolated being born into the universe, who is denied the opportunity to know "why", but who is forced to become a kratty,0. Referring to the idea, Synnyin forms visual reflections on the meaning and meaninglessness of existence in the context of the urban nature environment of the 2020s.

Synnyin examines how the environment affects people and their state of being. With an absurd touch, the work considers what nature experiences can be like in the future and are already now: a forest landscape in a gas station toilet, cultivation boxes in the middle of concrete, and skiing on a snowy track is Joan's favorite, while golf.

My goal as a filmmaker is to create a "haptic visuality" in the work, i.e. an experience based on senses other than sight and hearing. The purpose was to find angles where the viewer can almost smell, taste or feel with their fingertips that they are at the filming location.
