Mustavuori is included in the Herb-Rich Forest Conservation Programme and the European Nature 2000 network.

The flora of the herb-rich forest of Mustavuori is very diverse, owing to the fact that the area's bedrock is rich in minerals that benefit demanding plant species. The excavations conducted in connection with the building of the area's fortifications have also released calcium and other nutrients into the soil.

The bedrock in the centre of Mustavuori features First World War era trenches and three large excavated caves.

The herb-rich forests of Mustavuori house a variety of singing bird species, including wood warblers, icterine warblers and Eurasian blackcaps. The woods, which have been allowed to develop in their natural state, also house red-breasted flycatchers, hazel grouse and black grouse. These kinds of forests also accumulate plenty of decaying wood, the presence of which is essential for a range of different species, including polypores. As such, the area features a broad range of polypores, including some rare species, such as Anomoporia kamtschatica and Antrodia pulvinascens.

Vuosaari landfill hill is a man-made recreational area in north Vuosaari. The former dump and landfill area has become an open natural area where domestic plants grow naturally in meadowy and rocky conditions. Since its 60 metres in height, there's also a viewing point with a magnificent view over the surrounding area and eg. the Vuosaari harbour.

Villa Vuosanta, a conference and banquet villa located close to the sea, offers public sauna hours monthly at their woodheated log sauna. Possible to swim in the sea, while the sea is open.

Café Villa Ullas is located in a small cottage in Ullas park, by the beautiful Kallahti recreational park. The café serves home made sweet and savoury snacks, the most popular being the cinnamon bun.

Café Villa Ullas is part of the Helsinki Vocational College, Stadin Ammattiopisto, which offers workshops for young people under 29 to try out various jobs. The workshops allow attendants to work on exercises and outside orders as well as to improve their vocational skills.

Hansa Terminal is the passenger terminal for Vuosaari Harbour and serves passenger traffic from Helsinki to Travemünde. Hansa Terminal is located at Gate B at Vuosaari Harbour.

Kallahdenniemi beach is a shallow and sandy beach, especially popular among families with children. Dressing room, shower, toilet, playground and kiosk.

The City of Helsinki supervises the beach during the swimming season.

Cafe Monami Beach House, operating at Vuosaari Paddling Center - Natura Viva, is a summer cafe surrounded by the beautiful nature of Eastern Helsinki. Sit on the terrace right by the sea. The cafe is situated right next to popular walking routes.

Coffee, tasty "pulla", delicious sandwiches, sweet pastries and a lot more. Lunch is served daily.
