SIC is a space for contemporary art. SIC hosts exhibitions and events by both Finnish and international artists. Although founded in 2012, the new SIC space was opened in Kannelmäki in spring 2019.
Pitkäkoski hiking lodge and café in the north part of the Helsinki Central park is a traditional hiking lodge in 50's style serving eg. coffee and doughnuts baked on site. Especially popular in winter among skiers.
Malminkartanonhuippu is the highest point in Helsinki with its 91 metres above sea level. It is an artificial hill that has "grown" throughout the years as the area was beeing used as a municipal landfill site in 1976-96. Now the hill is a popular recreational- and exercise area, partly because of its stairs with 426 steps!
Kanneltalo is a theatre and concert hall and a hub for all kinds of events and activities, close to the Kannelmäki train station. In the building also eg. a café and library.
The Kannelmäki church, which resembles a tent or a Lapp hut, was designed by architects, Marjatta and Martti Jaatinen. The church was completed in 1968.
