Cultural Space Albatross

Albatross is a varied culture space with a gallery, a cosy tea and living room and a bookshop. It is a home for Finnish-Russian cultural exchange and co-operation. Albatross' programme includes small, high quality cultural events, lectures, workshops, and lessons of Russian and Finno-Ugric languages.
The Finnish-Russian Society is responsible for the activities at Albatross.

Glasshouse Helsinki

Glasshouse Helsinki at Aleksanterinkatu is a place for artists, designers, scientists and customers, to meet on common ground where ideas can grow. Ideas that help the people, communities, companies, society, and the environment.

At Glasshouse Aleksi it is possible to discover a variety of Nordic sustainable brands and actors. Skall Studio, Aiayu from Denmark meet with Vuokko Nurmesniemi dresses and smaller, sustainable Finnish actors like Tauko, Ordbord jewellery and revamped clogs from Hanna Sarén. Berlin-born bookstore do you read me?! also has an instrumental role in the concept. Reading, knowledge, books and magazines open minds for understanding the world around us and will help on the journey for the future-oriented vision. Lokal Helsinki, as part of the Glasshouse Helsinki, continues promoting local artisans and artist works in its own space.

On the 2nd floor of GH Aleksi, the Glasshouse Helsinki gallery space is a place for art, design, new ideas, thoughts and innovations.

do you read me?! offers a select range of international contemporary magazines and reading material with a focus on art, fashion, photography, design as well as architecture, literature, music, society, and contemporary culture. The idea is to provide an inspiring overview of today's printed matter.
