The Mental Museum located at the main building of the former Lapinlahti Hospital, a hospital for psychiatric care closed in 2008. The museum presents history and stories from the hospital, photos, objects used in the hospital and art work. The museum is run by the Pro Lapinlahti-mental health association.
In the building also a cafe and a lunch restaurant. In the area also eg. a sauna, handicraft shop, and a multi purpose space Venetsia.
The Museum of the Helsinki Deaconess Institute exhibit the lives of deaconesses and the history of health care. The majority of the articles on display in the museum has actually been used in the Institute, while some have come from property left behind by the sisters or various donors.
The Helinä Rautavaara museum presents ethnographic artefacts and information about cultures from around the world. The museum's exhibitions, collections and audience work showcase a variety of views of Finland as well as that of other cultures.
The ritual, everyday and art objects collected by globetrotter Helinä Rautavaara in Africa, Asia and Latin America comprise the core of the museum's collection. Photographs and audiovisual material from Rautavaara's travels are also part of the collection, as are her notes and diaries. The museum houses Finland's largest collection of objects from West Africa.
Galleria Kookos offers contemporary and modern art exhibitions of Finnish and international artists. Also art courses and various events as well as art products for sale.
