KAMU Museum of History of Espoo

KAMU is one of the Espoo City Museum museums and is located at the Exhibition Centre WeeGee. The permanent exhibition A Thousand Stories from Espoo takes the visitor from prehistory to medieval times and all the way to the second largest city in Finland.

Free entrance to all the museums in the WeeGee exhibition centre on Fridays at 17-19 (on the first Friday of each month at 17-21).

WeeGee Exhibition Centre

Based in the former offices of the Weilin&Göös publishing house designed by legendary Finnish architect Professor Aarno Ruusuvuori (1925-1992), WeeGee is a museum, exhibition and event hub in Tapiola, Espoo. It houses two museums: EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art and KAMU - Espoo City Museum. WeeGee also houses the museum shop EMMA Shop and the Café Zoceria WeeGee. In the yard is the famous Futuro house, designed by architect Matti Suuronen, which is open to the public from May to September. Exhibitions are also on display in Studio Suuronen. WeeGee offers visitors experiences and inspiration all year round.

EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art

Located in Tapiola, Espoo, EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art's collection and exhibition programme profiles Finnish and international modernism, contemporary art as well as design. EMMA's exhibition spaces - the largest in Finland - are situated in the architecturally impressive WeeGee building designed by Professor Aarno Ruusuvuori. The modern architecture adds to the experience-focused presentation of the changing exhibitions and permanent collections of EMMA, the Saastamoinen Foundation and Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation.

Espoo City Museum (KAMU) is also located at the Exhibition Centre WeeGee. In the building you can find a café and museum shop as well.
