Nuuksio

Nuuksio Reindeer Park is Finland's southernmost place where you can see reindeer. The entrance fee includes feeding the reindeer, campfire coffee and bun in the atmospheric Lappish teepee and services of the staff. A small souvenir shop is open during the visit.

Dogs are not allowed in the park. Card payment is preferred.

NB! The Reindeer Park is located in a private area, please note that entrance to the area is allowed only during public opening hours or during pre-booked private visits.

Cafe Silva is a summer cafe in the beautiful area of Nuuksio National Park, just next to lake Haukkalampi. The cafe is situated close to popular day hiking routes. Have a cup of coffee, tea or some refreshing ice cream while you are enjoying the beautiful view. In Cafe Silva, you can also enjoy salty snacks. The Natura Viva rental gear shop operates in the same facilities as Cafe Silva.

Nuuksio Haukanpesä guide hut is the perfect starting point for an outdoor adventure in Nuuksio National Park. Rent an open canoe, SUP-board, rowing boat or fatbike to explore the secrets of the national park. Get tasty snacks and a lovely cup of coffee from Cafe Silva. Also a large variety of guided tours for individuals and groups available. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the Nuuksio!

Karjakaivo outdoor recreation area is located in Espoo 30 km from Helsinki, between Bodominjärvi and Pitkäjärvi in Nuuksio, on the north side of Nuuksiontie road.

It is a peaceful outing area with its steep cliffs, erratic boulders, mires and wetlands. In addition to the steep cliffs there is also plenty of easily accessible terrain. From the adjacent Solvalla sports academy you can access short round tours.

Skiing center Solvalla-Swinghill is situated near Solvalla sports academy and Finnish Nature Center Haltia in Nuuksio, northern Espoo. Solvalla-Swinghill has three slopes, of which one is for children, one for families and a steeper one for competitions. From the skiing center there are beautiful views over Nuuksio's Pitkäjärvi-lake. Halfway up the slopes there is a atmospherical skiing hut with a cafeteria, rental services and amenities. The height of the slopes in Solvalla-Swinghill are 75 meters.

Within easy reach of the Finnish capital you can escape into wild natural settings and enjoy typically Finnish scenery at the Nuuksio National Park.

Haltia - The Finnish Nature Centre is a nature and outdoor center, where you get a real experience of the Finnish nature. Haltias' nature exhibitions introduce you to the magnificent scenery of Finlands National Parks, as well as nature sites in the nature capital area.

The building itself is a "must see": a combination of Finnish design, wood, sustainable elements and Kalevala, the Finnish national epic.

The sustainable Haltia is the gate to Nuuksio National Park. You are surrounded by hiking trails and the view of Nuuksio Pitkäjärvi Lake.
