Malmitalo

Malmitalo's versatile programme attracts people not only from Malmi, but from all districts of Helsinki to enjoy concerts, films, art and children's culture. The building also houses the Malmi Library, café-restaurant Malmitalo, the Helsinki Adult Education Centre and a total of four art schools for music, dance, visual arts and handwork.

Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre

Science Centre Heureka is a lively exhibition centre for people of all ages. At Heureka you can experience and learn about science and technology in an exciting hands-on environment. Planetarium, Science restaurant and Heureka Shop. Heureka's exhibitions extend also outdoors in summer season. The Science Park Galilei, the bedrock exhibition, trail of useful plants and the Linnaeus gardens are also included in the general admission fee. Heureka is situated about 20 min. train ride away from Helsinki centre.

Tram Museum

Helsinki's oldest tram depot (from 1900) houses the Tram Museum, as part of Korjaamo culture centre in Töölö. The museum presents the history of trams in Helsinki from a passenger's point of view. At the Tram Museum, you can have a seat in an old tram that instantly transports you to the Helsinki of yesteryear.

Helsinki City Museum

The Helsinki City Museum is the world's only museum focusing on Helsinki. It is located in the oldest quarters of the city, at the corner of the Senate Square. It is a museum of everyday life, offering new perspectives to the history of the city, heart-warming details and many types of spaces and atmospheres. The permanent Helsinki Bites exhibition plunges into the history of Helsinki and collects shared memories of the past. In the Children's Town, generations meet and learn about the past by doing things together. The Time Machine offers time travel with the help of new technology. You'll also find a museum shop and café/wine bar El Fant in the building.

Cirko - Center for New Circus

Cirko, based in Suvilahti, is the only organisation of its kind in Finland. Cirko is closely involved in a variety of international networks, promotes the interests of the new circus sector in Finland and makes an active contribution towards the creation of a new and vibrant urban culture at its Suvilahti base. Cirko offers the public high quality and interesting contemporary circus and generates new productions.
