Purchase local and responsible fashion

By Hinders

By Hinders is a new fashion brand whose stylish products emphasise locality. Its wool coats, suits, sheepskin coats and other clothing in the collection are made of materials sourced from the family’s own sheep farm in nearby Inkoo!

Vintage and second hand

Second-hand fashion has been on the rise for a long time thanks to the growing wave of sustainable thinking. Many new stores offering recycled fashion have sprung up in Helsinki offering second-hand and vintage clothes that are carefully curated and change seasonally. Many fashion and clothing trends today, especially among young people, come from recycled clothing.
Great places to find second-hand design in Helsinki include: Variety, Kalevankatu 33, varietysecondhand.com, UFF, Bulevardi 30, uff.fi/in-english, Vintage Magasinet, Pursimiehenkatu 1, vintagemagasinet.com ja Farkku-Sampo, Merimiehenkatu 10 (Instagramissa @farkkusampo).

Vyner Articles

Vyner Articles has rapidly established itself as a brand and designs uniforms for artists. Its street fashion-inspired unisex collection features loose-fitting jackets, fun prints and high-quality organic materials!
Kasarmikatu 12, vynerarticles.com.

Vuokko

The clothes designed by Vuokko Nurmesniemi are a great example of how classic design does not have to be boring. Crazy colours and experimental cuts still work. Vuokko jumpsuits are my power clothing – I have them in several different colours. The shop on Korkeavuorenkatu has a cheerful and laid-back atmosphere, but check the opening hours in advance!
