<p>Kaunissaari (in Sipoo) is the easternmost recreational island of Helsinki. Kaunissaari is an island 2 kilometres long and 800 meters wide with diverse flora and fauna and excellent fishing waters. The island has both rocky and stony beaches as well as sandy beaches. At Kaunissaari it is possible to cook in one of the five barbecue shelters, the firewood is provided. There are also water taps and toilets near these shelters. There are saunas for rent, and a restaurant, Kaunissaari restaurant. Camping with a tent is allowed. People coming in on their own boats can find shelter in the harbour on the eastern shore of the island. The four-kilometre-long nature trail offers information and stories about the history of the island.</p>
