Nuuksio Reindeer Park – a touch of northern magic

<p>Experience a touch of northern magic in Finland's southernmost reindeer park in Nuuksio, about 30 km/30 min by car from Helsinki city center and from the airport. A family-owned reindeer park is located in the middle of Nuuksio National Park. </p>
<p>We are open to the public on weekends: Sat. and Sun. 12pm-3pm (January-April, October-December) and 1pm-4 pm (May-September). You can come any time during opening hours, no need to book in advance. About 1 h our is enough time to visit, it is not a big place.</p>
<p>Entrance fees: 25 € adult, 10 € child (4-11 yrs.), 60 € family (2 adults+2 children), 0-3 y. free of charge.<br />
Student card: -10%. </p>
<p>Mining pass: 25 € entitles to dig one lucky raw amethyst stone from the amethyst mining shed.</p>
<p>The entrance fee includes lichen for feeding the reindeer, our staff tells you about reindeer, campfire coffee and bun over an open fire in the atmospheric Lappish Teepee. Souvenirs and e.g. sausage to grill by a campfire can be purchased on site. Santa Claus is visiting the Reindeer Park during weekends in December and then we serve warm glogg and gingerbreads. </p>
<p>Private bookings can be made during the week. Please check availability well in advance by e-mail. A private booking is a more personal experience as there will be no one else present besides you and your guide. Duration is one hour.</p>

<p>You can reach the Reindeer Park easily by commuter train U, E, L from Helsinki Central railway station to Espoon keskus (Espoo center) and from there by bus no 245(A) to Nuuksio. Bus stop PUNJONSUO (two stops after the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia). </p>
<p>There is limited parking space in our own yard, the nearest larger parking lot is in front of Haltia, 1 km before the Reindeer Park. Parking on private roads is strictly prohibited. </p>
