The Michelin guide annually rewards top restaurants with stars. Helsinki currently claims one two-star and four one-star Michelin restaurants.
In Finland, you can have a two Michelin-star experience at Restaurant Palace in Helsinki. The city is also home to four restaurants that have been awarded one Michelin star: Demo, Finnjävel Salon, Grön, and Olo. It is worth noting that Jalmari Kunnas, who works at Demo, was honored with the Michelin Young Chef award in 2023.
Helsinki also has two Bib Gourmand restaurants chosen by the guide: Bona Fide and Restaurant Nolla. This recognition is given to restaurants that offer good food at a moderate prices.
Additionally, the Michelin guide awards Green Stars to restaurants or their dedication to a more sustainable ethos. In Helsinki, the restaurants Grön, Nolla, and Natura carry a Green Star.
