Speaking of rooftops, how about climbing a narrow spiral staircase only to reach a quaint rooftop bar to sit at a terrace that will offer you a spectacular view over Helsinki? This might sound like it is out of fantasy novel, but truly to get to the top of the “Tower” you have to ride the elevator up to the 13th floor of the Torni hotel and then climb the narrow spiral staircase up to the rooftop bar. The Ateljee Bar is a true Helsinki classic and has stood the test of time. Locals often pop by to enjoy an after dinner coffee or drinks. Now the bar has been converted into a two-storey affair, where you can enjoy breakfast and afternoon tea whilst enjoying the best views of Helsinki.
